Rader Report

Roman Food Delivery- Fitness blog vol.2  I am excited to write a follow up blog with Roman Food Delivery in an effort to share my fitness journey with others and encourage a positive outlook on fitness and overall health. As a mother of two very active boys and a working RN I get asked “How do you find time to work out and eat right?” My number one answer is “Preparation is everything because without it you can prepare to fail.” Let me give some tips on how to get started.

  • Set aside one day of the week (mine is Sunday) to meal prep for the week. I use Fitness Pal to hit my Macro goals (fats, carbs and protein). This helps me grocery shop and keeps me on a budget.
  • Find a workout plan that fits your fitness goals (If you aren’t sure what they are, find a fitness model that you look up to and mimic their food and workout. However, be warned that you might not get the same results, a lot of these models have been doing this for years). Don’t get discouraged, keep trying different things. After all, variety is the spice of life.
  • Fitness is a collaborative event, so it is vital to talk with others that have the same interest as you. You can learn so much from other people and you will also find that people like to share ideas when it comes to thing that have worked for them. This could also save you money in the long run.
  • If you aren’t sure where to start, hire a personal trainer or nutritionist. I have recently done this myself and have seen great results. TIP: Do your research before spending money and make sure to get everything in writing of what you expect of your trainer and what they expect of you!! Remember even the greatest athletes in world have a coach.

  • GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE!! If I have said this once, I have said it a million times. Nothing ever grew in a comfort zone.
  • Be careful what and who you use as a resource. As a nurse I learned a long time ago to use creditable resources in an effort to establish a solid foundation.  I see a lot of fitness related blogs/post/articles and so forth that aren’t creditable have very little validity. These could cause you to end up with undesirable results or injury. So be careful and be smart.
  • Last but not least….HAVE FUN!!!! If this becomes like a job for you, chances are you aren’t going to stick with it. It helps to have a partner or friend to enjoy your journey with.
